Neil Gits The Fans Going

There is an ongoing joke running between me and the drive time team about my “ever growing fan club” and while it is nice to have more and more new names to add to the “Soulful Roll Call”, listening loyally every week, over the last couple of days it has been another type of fan that has been prominent in my life !!

I seriously struggle to cope when temperatures head past 20 degrees, so as my thermometer read 34 on Friday I was in desperate straights. Luckily I don’t have an awful lot to occupy me these days, so was able to push anything that I might have been dabbling in to one side, switch on the Big Electric Fan to at least setting two and just die quietly on the sofa ! I also have a smaller one upstairs for when I need to spend any length of time there, but I can at least sleep pretty well in heat (it doesn’t take much physical effort!) so “Fan Junior” doesn’t see much activity.

Today I have disciplined myself well to grit my teeth and get your much anticipated soul show ready for this Monday at 7pm, despite all the heat and discomfort, so I hope you will be able to tune in for two hours and enjoy the fruits of my labours. Just got to dot the i’s and cross the t’s … although I might have to turn my “Big Boy” up to level three soon !!
